Ohio Trip

The kids and I went to Ohio to visit my family for Christmas. We has a blast. OUHSC shuts down for almost two weeks over Christmas, so I decided to pack up the kids and fly to Ohio with my sister and my mom. We spent our time laying around, eating, and playing cards. The weather was pretty good so we ventured out a little while we were there. Liz took us out for the best steak ever. Steak Maui is now my new favorite meal. We went to West Virginia to visit my mom's brother too. We got to see 'slicky rock' and the church were Delores and Jeff were married. It was there 31st wedding anniversary on Dec. 30th. We ate at Delores's favorite hot dog place and got to see the yard with 300 Christmas blow ups. The next time I go out there, I hope it will be for a wedding. Hint, Hint, Baby J.

I sent my aunt Delores an email on Monday and said,"I miss: Breakfast pizza. The kids screaming. Cheyanne crying. The kids laughing. Liz’s stories. Grandma cussing out the pants. Uncle Jeff’s laugh. Canasta. Watching Spiderman for the 19th time. Jeffrey’s gas. Not really on that one. Your new smile. Debra throwing up. Mom surprising you. It was fun. Send the pics soon so I can make a video and we can all cry."

I forgot to mention that Delores forgot to tell Grandma that dinner was ready so we all ate while Grandma was upstairs starving. Way to go, Delores.

I cherish the time that I get to spend with my family. It means the world to me each and every time I see them.

Thankful

I wanted to start out by giving "Thanks" to my mom and dad who worked their butts off for us to have a great Thanksgiving. We had 15 kids and 11 adults over at my parent's house in Burns Flat. Thank God for the new addition that my dad, Dusty, and Glenn built. It made a world of difference to have so much more space for all of the little ones to run around. My cousins, Spike, Michael, and Crystal all joined us this year with their children. The only person missing was my brother, Chris. We had a wonderful time eating, laughing, and talking about old times in Burns Flat. Glenn, Spike, and Michael went out and drove around to all their old trouble spots. Boy, did they get in trouble a lot back then. I think Michael is still grounded to the yard. The rest of the weekend was spent celebrating my 32nd birthday by shopping, taking the kids to see Bolt, and watching football. Dusty, Crystal, and I went to Stillwater to tailgate with Dusty's college roommates. It was so nice to see them and it was fun being in Stillwater for the Bedlam atmosphere. All in all, it was a hectic, but fun weekend.

Halloween Time

I absolutely love Halloween. Me and the girls at work made shirts and we were characters from Top Gun. I thought it turned out cute. Dusty carved 3 pumpkins for United Way and he raised over $70 on his 3 pumpkins. He did a great job on all of them. Pistol Pete was my favorite. We had so much fun. Darian and her friend Emily were escaped convicts. Darian volunteered for WestMoore High's Safe Trick or Treat night so I took the kids up there to see here and they had a blast. A lot of the teenagers thought that Sydney and Evan were so cute as Ratouille and Linguini. We got a lot of comments on their costumes. Bobbie and Ashley came over to Trick or Treat with us and we had fun in our neighborhood. Darian has started basketball practice and will have her first game in the next few weeks. I am looking forward to another season of basketball. I know she hates it when I give her advice, but I love basketball so much I can't help it. Sydney and Evan are doing great. Sydney is still a bossy 3 year old who loves her brown Sassy and Aunt Debra. Evan is talking more and more each day and looks so cute with his new haircut. Hope this blog find everyone doing well.

Fall Update

Where does the time go? Chase turned 18 this past week, Jakob will be 11 on the 22nd, Dusty will be 31 this Friday, and Judy's birthday was on the 7th. We have a lot of birthdays this month. We celebrated Rachel's 14th birthday at Frontier City on September 27th. We had fun, but some people are too chicken to go on all of the rides. Aunt Delores said if she was there, she would have rocked every one of them with Darian and I. Darian is done with volleyball and is on to bigger and better things...BASKETBALL. I love watching her play as I relive my good 'ol days through her. My friend Carrie, her daughter Addie, Darian, and I walked 3.2 miles for Race for the Cure a few weekends ago. It was nice to see all of the people out supporting a good cause. I hate that it is getting dark so early now as Evan loves to be outside. Halloween is around the corner and Sydney is going to be Remy and Evan is going to be Linguini, both are from Ratatouille. They are going to be so cute. I love Halloween! Dusty and I are headed to Stillwater to go see the 8th ranked OSU Cowboys take on Baylor for Homecoming. My awesome sister will be up watching my kiddos while Dusty and I are actually going to spend the night away from the kids. Yeah for us! Go Cowboys!

Labor Day Weekend

Labor Day weekend was a lot of fun. We went to Jenks to the Oklahoma Aquarium with all of my family. Glenn and Rachel drove up from Clinton and Mom and Deb rode with us and Dad met us there in Tulsa. We had a good time there and then we headed off to Michael and Bambi's. Bambi had a good spread of snack foods and the guys set outside a watched football while we went for a swim. Sydney apparently likes to go off the diving board. She is a really good swimmer for a 3 year old. She loves the water and had fun playing with Mikey. It was good to see my cousin and his family. They have 3 cute boys. Poor Bambi! Sunday we went to the Tiger Safari over in Tuttle. It is a neat place. Sydney got to hold a lot of animals and she loved seeing the pig. That girl is obsessed with pigs for some reason. Dusty and Darian stayed behind to paint Darian's room. Monday we went over to Dusty's dad and stepmom's house where they had a cookout and we got to see all of Karen's family. It was good see everyone. I was hoping the weekend was not going to end. Darian is still playing volleyball and if any action actually happens, I might take a picture of her. This is Moore's first year for volleyball and you can tell. Go Pokes!

Can you believe I have an 8th grader?

Darian started school last week and she is in the 8th grade? Can you believe that? She will be a sophmore when Sydney starts school and she will be a senior when Evan starts school. A senior and a kindergartener, that is crazy. Darian is in volleyball and her first game is tomorrow. I don't know anything about volleyball so she will be happy that I can't tell her what to do. I took some pics of the kids yesterday and they turned out cute. It is hard to get all 3 of them in one shot though.

Ring Toss

Darian and I went to Frontier City about a month ago where we decided to play a few games. Darian played the ring toss and on the first throw she got the ring around the bottle. The workers were shocked that someone had won on the ring toss. She is one lucky girl! For her effort, she won this giant Spiderman. Sydney and Evan liked it at first, but Sydney did not want it in her room because she said he was scary.
